I LOVE reading! I have since I was a kid and when I have the time, I tend to devour books. My favourite memory is when I was about 8 or 9 and was reading "Viplala lood I" at night. When I finished the book, my brother and sister were already fast asleep, but I couldn't bear the thought that I can't read more about this little man and his friends. As I knew there was a second part to the book, I went to the bookshelf and started looking for it so I could continue reading.
There's a story from recent past as well. I like classics, so to guide my reading, I have the BBC's 100 classics list printed out to help me find new books to read. I finally got to the book "Gone with the Wind" last year and ended up so into the book that I read the last 100 pages in one night as I was not able to put the book down before I got to the end. To my romantic heart's disappointment, the book did not end as I would have liked to. I was so upset that I didn't sleep well that night and some of the following nights as well. I ended up trying to find out if there are any sequals, and to my relief found out that another author had written "Scarlett". When I was approaching the end of this book, I was kind of scared as I was afraid I might find another disappointment. To my relief, that was not the case! I loved the end so much that I read it two or three times just to relive it again!
As I said, I've always enjoyed reading, but sometimes forget how good it feels. So my new year's resolution for 2019 was to TAKE time for reading. This is something I want to keep doing, so here I'll write down the books I manage to read every year. Also, I'll write the title in the language I read the book.
